Slumdog Millionaire
Thursday, January 29th, 2009W.
Friday, October 24th, 2008This movie was an entire waste of time. It was neither informative nor entertaining. It was actually painfully annoying. All of the world leaders were reduced to caricatures. Annoying caricatures. I don’t see what the point of this movie was. I’m sure Oliver Stone will make money off it because it’s election season.
Body of Lies
Thursday, October 16th, 2008If you’ve seen the commercials for this movie you would think the main characters in this movie are fighting against each other. I’m not sure why the studio decided to market it it that way. Regardless, the movie has little to do with what you think it has to do with. It’s about a CIA operative working in the Middle East. He (played by Dicaprio) and his boss (played by Crowe) are trying to find the mastermind behind a series of bombings occurring in Europe. The audience learns of the complex espionage networks that the CIA works/competes with in order to find the answers they need. It’s hard to say how accurate their portrayal of Arab life/culture/politics is so I can’t comment on that.
The Dark Knight
Friday, July 25th, 2008Finally got to see this movie. I was turned down on three separate occasions because shows were sold out. It was exquisite. Great on every level. Even if you go to see it just because it was Heath’s last major picture you won’t be disappointed at all.
10000 BC
Friday, July 25th, 2008Meh. Reminded me of Finding Nemo but done worse. Effects were nice. Story was sweet.
