This book and the next of the series were gifts from my in-laws. It was a surprise. Tipu got a box in the mail and insisted I open it. It was a very thoughtful treat.
This book was much harder to get into than the others. I didn’t like the moodiness of Harry. However the antics of Fred and George made up for it nicely.
I’m trying not to touch the next book. I’m telling myself it’ll be a nice thing to look forward to in my winter break. We’ll see how long I hold out. There’s just so much stuff to do right now I should really focus…

It was really good. I could hardly put the book down. I’m glad I read the book before seeing the movie. I have no idea how they’re going to fit the 600ish page book in a movie even if it is LOTR-esque length. I’ve come to really enjoy reading. TV bores me quite badly right now. Even the Food Network can’t keep my attention for too long.

Again, I’ve seen this movie and I wish I hadn’t so I didn’t know what the ending was.
My favourite characters are Fred and George Weasley. The two light-hearted misfits. I especially like how they were parting the crowd for Harry the heir of Slytherin.
This woman I ride the bus with said she’d get me the third installment tomorrow morning. I hope she remembers. She’s a prof at uni, she teaches literature and she can read a book a day!! She says she can read 100 pages an hour. Whooosh.

I’m trying to read for fun again. I haven’t had a chance for non-textbooks in a really long time. Starting off really light w/ Harry Potter.
I wish I hadn’t seen all of the movies. The imagination is much richer when it hasn’t been stunted through seeing the movie. However the movies were quite true to the text it seems. Anyways a very good book. I find the short chapters satisfying since I’m a slow reader. Lots of concrete imagery of silly and mystical things. Solid, likeable characters.
