I started a summer job recently. It’s been quite an adjustment. I don’t think I’m over the hump yet. My biggest concern has been sleep. I am not a morning person. It’s quite easy for me to stay up until… 5am. However I’d rather slit my wrists than wake up at 5am. But alas, I had to enter the working world schedule at some point. I’ve joined a large company. I will not name the comany and I would appreciate it if you didn’t name the company on my website either. I’m still waiting for all of the different resource/tools clearances so I can start my work. This morning there was a breakfast in which the entire corporate structure of the company was explained to me and other summer students. I found it difficult to sit through.
We’ve also bought a house. I will not post the address and I expect that no one will post it either. It’s a starter home. It’s really quite charming. I’ve got a few little projects in mind already. The big projects including updating the kitchen and building a detached garage. I don’t think that’s going to happen any time in the near future though. The housing market in Winnipeg is still fairly strong. We had to bid against three other families to get the house. The day before we lost the bid for another house. Some houses are being sold the first day on the market. It’s really important to be educated about the real estate market so you can make quick decisions you’re comfortable with.
