Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

May22

Is it just me or is Shia LaBeouf in too many big movies? He’s talented but it’s becoming distracting now.

Went to the midnight plus one minute show with Tipu. We weren’t sure how many people would show up at Grant theater for it. We didn’t go early enough to line-up or anything so once we drove up to the full parking lot we got a little nervous. Thankfully they had more than one screen showing it. I believe they had two and both were pretty full. Saw some parents with their kids too. Those are some pretty cool parents if you ask me.

Movie was ok. Not bad. Indy is a likable character. It was nice seeing Marion again. She has aged gracefully. Her eyebrows haven’t been pulled to the back of her head or anything. Still spunky. The premise of the movie is not entirely new. I’ve heard similar suspicions but it is interesting how they’ve incorporated the shape of the skull. That may be new. In general I think it’s worth the investment of seeing this movie in the theater instead of renting much later. It’s arguable whether or not it can wait long enough for the cheap theater. I could wait. Tipu, not so much.

I thought it was good! I would have enjoyed it more if I didn’t have a couple of nerds sitting next to me making comments like “That’s sooooo CGI” or “That would never happen in reality”… I was like.. what do you expect? it’s a MOVIE!

Other than that I enjoyed it, definitely worth going to see.

Oh yeah, and the part with the aliens was totally crazy :P

This one was totally alien-ated. Indy meets ET. Part of the movie was almost sci-fi.
