Soup Pierre

January20

651 Corydon

It’s been brutally cold in Winnipeg lately.  Minus forty dear Lord.  So Tipu and I checked out Soup Pierre on Corydon.  I’m not sure if there’s any relation to Soup Pierre on Portage or not.  The Portage one is only open during business hours on weekdays I suspect because whenever I’ve driven around there on weekends or evenings I’ve noticed it closed.  The one on Corydon is cute but I think it’s unreasonably priced.  Tipu and I had 16 ounces of soup each and shared a sandwich and that came out to around $20.  Tipu had cream of mushroom.  I had spicy thai peanut satay.  They do offer a variety of vegan soups.  They’re sandwiches are tasty but skimpy.  I thought $6 for a sandwich on normal sized bread was disappointing.

Add to that fact that the damn sandwiches had frozen cucumbers. I could bet they were actually keeping it outside!
