Magical Day

October30

So today I woke up at 8am which is damn early for a Sunday. I forgot about the time change. Spring forward and fall back peeps. Lean back… lean back… (hip hop reference). I did laundry, cleaned the kitchen and cooked and fell over in glee when I looked at clock on the PC (that wasn’t meant to rhyme). Could it be that I have superhuman domestic powers? Thank God the PC changes the time for you or else I would have been clueless today.

So will this change promote further productivity and personal growth? It’s too hard to tell at this point. All signs lead to 50-50. It will be easier to wake up earlier because it’s really later. Whether or not it will promote my morning energies enough to cross into the morning workout regime is still very low in probability. The only way the morning workout will ever happen is if a friend (*cough* … ZZ) will meet me. I still haven’t renewed my gym membership. *sigh*

So there’s an interesting event I’m organizing. I am student Chair of Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) and we’re working with IEEE to have a distinguished lecturer come in. He’s pretty crazy impressive. Dr. Michael Neuman has a PhD in Electrical Engineering and went through Medicine. His talk is entitled “Miniature Biomedical Sensors: An Emergent Technology for Biomedical Research”. The event is Monday, Nov. 6th evening. For more details please see EMBS Student Website

Here is the poster Mohammad made for us.

My problem was that I got up earlier, but was like, oh, b/c of the time change, I have an extra hour to kill! The bigger problem was that I kept up that attitude all day.

Man, you are asking people to pay to attend the talk? Are you gonna get enough of an audience?
