Death of a President

October30

I’m not sure how much publicity this fictitious documentary has received. I don’t watch as much TV as I used to. I do know the film isn’t playing in the State side yet. I realized the topic and imagery has a few Americans pissed. The film goes through in detail the assassination of George W. Bush in the year 2007 and the subsequent investigation that follows afterwards. The movie is boring but surreal edgy at the same time. Documentaries aren’t known for their spice but I think viewers will find the film interesting because of how real it all seems. There’s this one scene where Cheney is giving the eulogy which I can’t quite get out of my head. I know the filmmakers remixed tapes and images but they did a hauntingly good job. The actors who played reporters, political aids, forensic scientists and suspects did a convincing job as well.

After watching the film I felt sad. I don’t like turmoil. It doesn’t suit me. I feel like the world has unraveled some. Watching the film made me very uncomfortable because I know if something like this were to happen Muslims would be screwed.
