Staying up and just hanging out w/ friends etc. is easy. Staying up to get work done is exhausting. These are things that I’ve done in the past that have helped
1.hide the clock:
time doesnt really matter, you need to get sth done, watching the clock and playing the “ok, i can get x hours of sleep” just stresses me out personally.
2. short bursts of exercise:
just to keep the blood pumping and me from nodding off
3. log off msn / chat / avoid distractions:
the sooner you’re done the sooner you will be in cool sheets, fluffy pillows and loving blankie
4. cool refreshing water
coffee makes my stomach bite, coke/pepsi makes my teeth furry, i prefer cold crisp water
number 3 got me drooling.
5am. sadiya has not slept.
sadiya has not completed the 4 projects due this morning.
sadiya is losing it.
I forgot to mention… you will feel like crap the next morning. Just like there is the Law of Conservation of Energy, I believe there is a Law in Conservation of Mood. As you overextend yourself something’s gotta give. It’s often sanity. I missed my bus this morning
Sadiya… (k)
drugs. they are good for you. they will keep you awake. trust me, i’m a professional. also listen to hardcore rap, rock and death metal to get the blood pumping. just ask leena, it works for her. gg g unit!
This is so cute. Staying awake tips for when work must be done. First, let us invest in something called impossible. Then, let us stroll through a little town called reality check. Next we shall visit the continent of When Work Must Be Done. Altogether, we have, When Work Must Be Done, Reality Check –> Impossible. I realize how nerdy this note is. But I feel to express my true keen nerd self, this must be posted. Because truly, I think…thus then therefore I am.
haha, furry teeth. I know exactly what you mean.
Wow. Great advice. And just in time to help me prepare for thesis presentations! Thanks
Oh my God Rob has a blog!!! *falls off chair in laughter*
